Miss Universe/Facebook</div>Months after winning Miss Universe, Fatima Bosch still finds herself explaining why she deserves the crown. In a recent interview with Univision host Luis Borrego, the Mexican beauty queen shared what made her stand out among the finalists of Miss Universe 2025.Bosch pointed out that among the Top 5, she was the only one who stood up against <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/pageants-beauty-queens/2025/12/3/nawat-itsaragrisil-files-complaint-vs-miss-universe-fatima-bosch-1841">Thai executive Nawat Itsaragrisil</a> during a pre-pageant event as he raised his voice at her and other candidates. &quot;During that moment when I spoke up to defend myself and my fellow candidates... none of the other 4 (in the Miss Universe Top 5) stood up,&quot; she said in Spanish, as <a href="https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1406153998220175&amp;set=pb.100064767634191.-2207520000&amp;type=3">translated</a> by the local pageant page Pageanthology. &quot;They all stayed there, following along, maybe out of fear that their sash might be taken away.&quot; &quot;But I believe that if you aspire to be a universal voice for women, there always has to be consistency between your words and your actions,&quot; she added.Bosch&#x27;s statements did not sit well with many netizens as the Mexican beauty queen seemed to discredit the hard work and performance of the other Top 5 candidates during the coronation night.The <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/lifestyle/pageants-beauty-queens/2025/12/3/-campaign-of-hate-miss-universe-fatima-bosch-denies-rigging-claims-1422">controversy surrounding her victory</a>, with rumors that she won the crown because of her father&#x27;s supposed business ties with Miss Universe Organization president Raul Rocha, did not help her cause. &quot;How come you&#x27;re not talking about any of these scored categories within the competition that should technically matter towards the outcome of the entire pageant? Why don&#x27;t you take the footage of the girls who were also with you in the Top 5, put it side by side and show me exactly in which part you outperformed them?&quot; pageant analyst Luis Portelles said, addressing Bosch, in a video posted on his Facebook page. &quot;The lackluster performance that we all witnessed during finals, during prelims can be overwritten simply because Fatima dared to speak against Nawat,&quot; he added.&quot;It&#x27;s always about using your voice for the voiceless, except when the ones voicing their concerns are your fellow candidates who did not agree with the outcome of the competition. It is also using your voice except when it is the pageant media saying that they did not agree with the outcome of the competition...
