Guided by her insatiable curiosity, Alice tumbles down the rabbit hole, encountering a cast of eccentric characters who lead her through a day full of whimsical discoveries.For Martynyuk, &quot;Alice in Wonderland&quot; is not just a retelling of a beloved story but an artistic adventure into the boundless possibilities of ballet.“In &#x27;Alice,&#x27; I wanted to create a world where movement tells the story beyond words,” Martynyuk said. “Through choreography, mime, and expression, we invite audiences to feel the humor, absurdity, and heart that make Wonderland so unforgettable.”Present at the press conference were two of the Ballet Philippines artists who will be taking on the titular role. She feels that this heightens her excitement in playing the role.“I want to bring authenticity to the stage. The character of Alice is very similar to me — she is unapologetically unique, carefree, brave, curious, and full of wonder. I feel that this role is close to my heart, and I pray that I do justice to it,” she said.The press conference presented some of the characters that will be featured in the ballet. The cast for the afternoon had Reyes-Ocampo as Alice, Ian Ocampo as the Prince of Wonderland, Regine Magbitang as Red Queen, Gia Gequinto as Mouse Sonya, Peter San Juan as Mad Hatter, Carlo Padoga as Mad Rabbit, Eduardo  Evangelio as White Rabbit, Krystn Noelle Janicek as Duchess, and Emmerson Evangelio and Alexis Piel as Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. <div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1763104923350Regine Magbitang as Red Queen.png" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/>Regine Magbitang as Red Queen  in Ballet Philippines&#x27; &#x27;Alice in Wonderland.&#x27; Erica Marquez-Jacinto</div>Adding to the excitement, Ballet Philippines has prepared multiple casts to alternate in the roles, bringing extra variety and flavor to this delightful, candy-colored ballet.The spirit of imagination and courage is at the heart of Ballet Philippines’ mission, as company president Kathleen Liechtenstein expressed. &quot;Alice in Wonderland,&quot; she noted, celebrates not only storytelling and artistry but also the joy of discovery — perfect for the season of wonder. Audiences can catch &quot;Alice in Wonderland&quot; for a limited run of five performances only, from December 5 to 7, at The Theatre at Solaire.
