Photos from the IdeaFirst Company on Facebook"/><span class="fr-inner" style="text-align:left">(From left) Drag performers Viñas Deluxe and Maxie Andreison. <em>Photos from the IdeaFirst Company on Facebook</em></span></span></span></div><p>Drag performers Viñas Deluxe and Maxie Andreison will play the lead role in the stage musical adaptation of the comedy-drama film &#x27;Die Beautiful,&#x27; the show&#x27;s producer announced on Monday.</p><p>The IdeaFirst Company﻿ revealed the casting through posts on its Facebook page, saying both Viñas and Maxie will take on the role of protagonist Trisha.</p><p>&quot;Die Beautiful The Musical&quot; will be staged at the Proscenium Theater in Makati in June 2027.</p><p>It is based on the acclaimed 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, which follows the colorful life of a trans woman with beauty queen dreams, revealed through flashbacks during her wake following her death.</p><div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/entertainment/08/27/17/die-beautiful-tops-2017-luna-awards"><strong>READ: &#x27;Die Beautiful&#x27; tops 2017 Luna Awards<br/></strong></a></div><p>Jun Robles Lana, who wrote and directed the original film, also serves as the writer of the musical adaptation, while the stage production will be directed by Tuxqs Rutaquio.</p><p>Viñas is a member of the popular drag trio Divine Divas.
