<p>Nine years after it first opened its doors, <a href="https://www.instagram.com/artefinoph/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">ArteFino</a> is looking beyond the success of a fair and focusing instead on the movement it has helped build. During the launch of its milestone <em>Dekada</em> edition, co-founders reflected on the partnerships, communities, and artisans that have shaped ArteFino’s journey since its founding in 2017, while unveiling what visitors can expect from this year’s celebration of Filipino creativity. We wanted to build a movement,” she said.<br/><br/>That movement, she explained, has always been rooted in championing Filipino craftsmanship while creating sustainable livelihoods for the communities behind every handcrafted piece. Yesterday honors the traditions and communities that laid the foundation. Today celebrates the vibrant movement that has grown around Filipino craftsmanship. Tomorrow, she said, is about embracing innovation so these traditions continue to flourish for generations to come. Co-founder Mel Francisco announced that ArteFino returns to Power Plant Mall from July 30 to August 2, bringing together more than 100 of the country’s artisanal brands—many of whom have been with the fair since its earliest years. To commemorate the milestone, participating brands were given a unique challenge: create exclusive<em> Dekada </em>collections inspired by the number ten, whether through ten-piece collections, ten colorways, or other creative interpretations. “We wanted the collection to reflect how far they’ve come, how their craft has evolved, and also where they hope to take Filipino design next,” Mel said.</p><p>This year’s fair also expands beyond fashion and craftsmanship. Designer Gino Gonzales has been tapped to create the event’s special installations, while interior designer Cecil Ravelas will spotlight the home section. ArteFino is also introducing a reimagined culinary experience through Eats by ArteFino, in collaboration with The Seven Pantry, featuring a curated selection of artisanal food brands that adds another dimension to the fair.</p><p>The <em>Dekada</em> Collection Fashion Presentation served as the centerpiece of the media launch, showcasing the best of Filipino local brands. The event was held at Aya by Hapag in Balmori Suites, Rockwell, where guests were treated to a menu inspired by Filipino creativity.</p><p>As ArteFino enters its next chapter, its tenth-year celebration serves not only as a showcase of craftsmanship, but also as a reflection of the people, partnerships, and purpose that continue to shape the future of Filipino design.</p>
