MANILA -- A Philippine choir has earned international recognition after winning two gold awards at the Musica Orbis Prague Festival in Prague, Czech Republic.The Miriam College High School Glee Club got the gold awards in the unrestricted and sacred repertoire categories during the prestigious international competition held on July 11, 2026.The group also received the Excellence in Choral Sound special award. Among the pieces performed by the group was the Filipino children&#x27;s song &quot;Pen Pen De Sarapen,&quot; introducing a local classic to an international audience.The MCHS Glee Club was the only choir from the Philippines and Asia to compete in this year&#x27;s festival. Other participating countries included Estonia, Germany, Belgium, Lithuania, and the United Kingdom.
