Handout</div>A Filipino college student&#x27;s artwork was selected Wednesday by an international shipping company to be featured on the design of its envelope.&quot;Haraya sa Kalsada&quot; by Lauren Kerby Obaldo, a second-year Multimedia Arts student at De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde (CSB), won the UPS Express Envelope Design Competition.As the winner, Obaldo&#x27;s artwork will be featured on official UPS Express Envelopes that will carry international shipments across the world.Obaldo&#x27;s entry was selected from nearly 400 submissions from multimedia arts students for the competition, which was launched in June.<div><img src="https://od2-image-api.abs-cbn.com/prod/editorImage/1787730587268Lauren Kerby Obaldo - “Haraya sa Kalsada”.jpg" style="width:960px" class="fr-fic fr-dib" width="960"/></div>Obaldo&#x27;s design, which a press release said stood out &quot;for its originality and visual storytelling,&quot; was inspired by the Filipino jeepney and highlights Clark Freeport Zone as &quot;a center for transportation, logistics and global connections.&quot;The award was presented by First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos during a ceremony at the Ayala Museum.The competition held in partnership with CSB invited students to reimagine the UPS Express Envelope through original artwork inspired by three themes: &quot;Roots of Progress,&quot; &quot;Galaw ng Bayan, Abot ang Mundo&quot; and &quot;Clark Rising: Asia’s Center, Philippines’ Pride.&quot; The winning entry came from the &quot;Clark Rising&quot; theme.&quot;We value partnerships like this with UPS because they bring learning beyond the classroom and give our students the opportunity to create for a real-world, global platform,&quot; said CSB Vice Chancellor for Academics Angelo Marco Lacson.&quot;For our students, seeing their ideas move from the classroom into the real world is incredibly meaningful,&quot; Lacson added.Meanwhile, UPS Philippines managing director Russell Reed said, &quot;As a company that connects people, businesses and opportunities around the world, we&#x27;re proud to support local talent and help bring Filipino creativity to audiences beyond these shores.&quot;The top 30 entries were showcased in a public exhibit at Ayala Museum during the award ceremony.
