Artist in Focus: Seth Fedelin's Journey From PBB to MMFF and Beyond

He was part of <em>Pinoy Big Brother: Otso</em> Batch 1 in 2018 and was introduced as the “hope-pool son of Cavite.“</p><p>After his <em>PBB </em>stint, Seth quickly gained fans&#x27; support and became a sought-after teen actor. His first <em>teleserye</em> was <em><strong>Kadenang Ginto</strong></em> where he became part of the “Gold Squad” alongside Francine Diaz, Kyle Echarri, and Andrea Brillantes. Following the series&#x27; success, Seth starred in a drama series, <em><strong>Huwag Kang Mangamba</strong></em>. After being part of the Gold Squad, they had their first team-up in Dreamscape’s revenge drama series, <strong><em>Dirty Linen</em></strong>.</p><p>According to Seth, his team-up with Francine contributes a lot for him as an actor. With his notable portrayal in this MMFF entry, Seth received the <strong>Breakthrough Performance</strong> award and the Best Actor nomination.</p><p>How has this recognition changed his career? He answered, “<em>Sobrang napakalaking bagay at nakakatakot kasi dapat sa susunod</em>, <em>hindi na</em> breakthrough. <em>Pero na</em>-<em>pre</em>-pressure<em> po ako kasi may mga</em> comment <em>’yung mga tao</em>, <em>nakabasa po ako na</em>, <em>ganyan-ganyan</em>, <em>sana ganito-ganito sa susunod</em>. So, <em>natutuwa ako</em>, <em>pero</em> at the same time <em>rin</em>, <em>kinakabahan ako</em>. <em>Kasi paano kung hindi naman laging</em> best <em>e</em>.” Despite the pressure, Seth aims to be better each time. He described, “<em>Gusto ko rin masubukan ang</em> bad boy. <em>Kasi kadalasang nagagawa kong</em> role, <em>mabait</em>, <em>anak ni ganyan</em>. So, <em>gusto ko namang maranasan ’yung</em> challenge <em>para sa akin na paano ako</em>, <em>’yung maginoo pero</em>… <em>ano kaya itsura ko kapag dinagdagan ko ng konting angas ’yung isang karakte</em><em>r</em>?”</p><p>He also expressed his desire for doing an action project but he’d like to take his time before diving into an opportunity like that. He explained, “<em>Gusto ko muna siyang simulan sa maliit</em>. <em>Gusto ko munang matutunan</em>. <em>Kasi mahirap ang</em> action <em>e</em>, <em>nakakapagod</em>, <em>hindi maiiwasang masaktan</em>.
