Love In 40 Days stars Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte have defined relationship goals in so many ways, having been officially together for five years. This makes them the best couple to take advice from when you find yourself contemplating whether to leave or stay in a relationship.

In the “Ghost or Stay” Challenge on Kapamilya Chat, LoiNie weighed in on specific relationship scenarios whether they’re worth keeping or ending. The first situation was about seeing red flags, which LoiNie thinks is normal because nobody is perfect.

“Lalo na kung papasukin mo ‘yung seryosong relasyon, darating ‘yung time na makikita mo’ yung mga ikaka-turn off mo sa kanya pero kailangan mong tanggapin ‘yun,” explained Ronnie.

It’s worth noting how LoiNie embraces the imperfections of a person or a relationship - might be one factor that keeps them together. They are not the type to easily give up. Sometimes, what seems like red flags to others are just normal parts of being human to them.

For instance, they thought it’s better to have a partner who’s clingy than one who’d ice you out. If the partner demands time, it’s okay because you can always fix your schedules for each other. “Ang dami rin naman namin naging ganyang issues ni Loisa pero pinili pa rin namin mag-stay."

Living with a high-maintenance partner? “Bakit hindi?” he reacted. The red flag though is living beyond one’s means.

Even if the relationship is disliked by your own friends, LoiNie’s advice is to fight for your love. She quipped, “Hindi naman ‘yung mga kaibigan ‘yung jojowain.” He added, “At the end of the day, matatanggap at matatanggap nila ‘yan kung talagang kaibigan nila ‘yung taong ‘yun. Gusto naman nila ‘yung ikasasaya ng kaibigan nila basta, siyempre, nasa tama naman.”

But, if it’s the other way around, when the partner dislikes the friends, LoiNie would let go.
