As we continue to get ourselves acquainted with the housemates of the current batch, let’s revisit in this Toplist the interviews of some of its alumni on <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank">Magandang Buhay</a> in the past years, wherein they shared how their lives had changed after the reality show.<div> </div>Melai Cantiveros, PBB Double-Up Edition (2009)Melai couldn’t help but get sentimental during the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank">Magandang Buhay</a> momshies’ trip to Baguio City in 2018. She remembered her beloved grandmother while they were picking strawberries at a farm, since she was able to bring her and other members of her family there after her victorious PBB stint.Since it was impossible for her to visit them in General Santos City back then due to her hectic schedule, she decided to just treat them to a short yet grand getaway in the “Summer Capital of the Philippines”. The “Inday Kengkay of GenSan” vividly recalled how her grandma turned emotional as she expressed how joyful she was to finally be able to come not just to Manila but also to Baguio City.<div> </div>Zeus Collins, PBB 737 (2015)With how his participation in PBB 737 has opened a lot of doors for him in the industry, Zeus considers it the greatest blessing he has ever received. He may be a talented dancer, but the “Hataw King ng Rizal” confessed during his <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank">Magandang Buhay</a> interview in 2017 that he was actually reticent. Thankfully, his manager was able to persuade him to try his luck in the reality competition, which was also his first-ever audition experience.<div> </div>Bailey May and Ylona Garcia, PBB 737 (2015)</div><div>One of the many loveteams formed inside the house was “BaiLona,” which was comprised by the dynamic duo of former 737 teen housemates Bailey and Ylona. Since both of them were really young by that time and apparently not used to doing household chores, they proudly shared the positive changes and learnings that they got after joining PBB during their interview with the momshies in 2017.The “Daldal Darling ng Australia” enthused that she already knew how to cook, such as sopas, adobo, and banana bread. Meanwhile, the “Global Gwapito ng U.K.” learned to properly arrange his clothes in the wardrobe.<div> </div>Edward Barber, PBB Lucky Season 7 (2016)Prior to becoming a promising actor and presenter, we all know that Edward was one of the most notable teen housemates of the Lucky Season 7, in which his team-up with eventual Big Winner Maymay Entrata was formed.Apparently, it was not only the “Cheerful Charmer ng Germany” who was delighted by the experience, but also his beloved dad. In their <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank">Magandang Buhay</a> guesting together in 2017, Popshie Kevin conveyed that he still couldn’t believe how his son tremendously changed for the better while he was still under Big Brother’s wing, and he’s deeply thankful for that.“He has done a lot, he has achieved a lot, he has grown up a lot. Big Brother did an amazing job turning him from a little boy to a man,” he remarked.<div> </div>Vivoree Esclito, PBB Lucky Season 7 (2016)Another Kapamilya star who came from the Lucky 7 batch is Vivoree, whose enthralling transformation from a timid probinsyana to a confident lady we witnessed. Despite being pretty and talented, the “Go-Getter Girl ng Bohol” confessed that he actually didn’t expect to have a career after her PBB stint. She just hoped for the best and grateful that she’s still here years after their edition concluded.“Dati nga super mahiyain ako, mababa ‘yong self-esteem. Kaya akala ko na parang hanggang doon na lang ako, hindi na ako maggro-grow as an artist and even as a person. Pero looking back sa lahat ng experiences ko, na-realize ko na I stood strong despite every struggle and challenge na pinagdaanan ko. They all made me who I am today. So, grateful po ako sa lahat ng pinagdaanan ko talaga,” she told the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank">Magandang Buhay</a> hosts.<div> </div>Kiara Takahashi, PBB Otso (2018)</div>For former Otso regular housemate Kiara Takahashi, PBB didn’t only change who she is for the better, but it also made her family closer, which really meant so much to her. In her <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank">Magandang Buhay</a> guesting in 2019, the “Singing Surfer ng La Union” expressed how happy she was to have both her Japanese dad and Filipina mom by her side.“It’s a weird feeling kasi hindi ko siya naramdaman for a long time but because of PBB also, parang nag-connect kami lahat. I’m just really happy for everything. Hindi ko inexpect po ‘to na darating ‘yong time na ‘to na makakasama ko ulit sila in one place. That’s a different feeling and I feel complete also,” she conveyed.<div> </div>KD Estrada, PBB Kumunity Season 10 (2021)A few months after he and eventual loveteam partner Alexa Ilacad got evicted, they graced the Valentine’s Day episode of <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/magandangbuhay" target="_blank">Magandang Buhay</a> in 2022. When asked how he had been doing after their <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbs10" target="_blank">PBB Kumunity Season 10</a> stint, KD told the momshie-hosts that he was still adjusting then.“Before po PBB, I was a bit of a smaller artist po. Ngayon, I could say something talaga and it would really impact people,” the “Musical Wonder Boy ng Parañaque” said. “Mind-blowing talaga how much influence that I could have on people.”<div> </div>Rob Blackburn and Isabel Laohoo, PBB Kumunity Season 10 (2021)Almost a month after being hailed as the runners-up of the <a href="https://ent.abs-cbn.com/pbbs10" target="_blank">Kumunity Season 10</a>, Rob and Isabel gleefully imparted how their lives instantly changed after their PBB stint.The “Travelling Wonder Lad of Laguna”, who was hailed as the 4th Big Placer, related how aside from the popularity and the sudden boom in his Instagram followers, he also noticed how his character has changed and his family has become closer. Besides, his learnings inside the house, including the Filipino culture, as well as new friendships, have stuck with him.Meanwhile, the new friendships she forged with the housemates and the hectic schedule were among the changes in her life, according to the “Bubbly Boss Lady ng Leyte,” who was named the 2nd Big Placer.“I’m super happy kasi it also built up my character and it also made me realize a lot of things. So, the journey with kuya really helped me grow as the person that I am right now,” she told the momshies.
