Let’s dive deeper into this perspective with JC de Vera and Tony Labrusca in this edition of “He Said, He Said” Challenge on Kapamilya Chat.In this challenge, Tony, a single guy, and JC, a married man, would share their perspective on life and its many aspects.We talk first about budgeting. JC said that he learned how to put himself last after he got married and had kids. As for Tony, he used to rely on his mom on handling his finances. But now that he’s living independently, while his mom is overseas, Tony feels like budgeting is a scary territory. His focus now is saving a lot for the future.When it comes to partying, JC has long graduated from that, unless it’s a children’s party he’s going to with his kids and wife. He stopped partying because he wants his wife to get enough time to rest. “Na-erase ko na ‘yung word na gimmick sa life ko, family time na talaga.”Although Tony still parties once in a while, he makes sure that it doesn’t affect his work schedule. For instance, now that he’s filming a regular series, he’d rather spend his days off recharging his mind and body. He would only go out if it’s a really important occasion. At 27, he tries to balance having fun and not making any more mistakes.JC seconded, “I agree. When I was single, talagang party all you want. Nu’ng nag-marry na ako, sabi ko, okay lang pala at least I had my fair share din ng mga kalokohan. Pero ngayong married na, alam kong hindi ko na gagawin ‘yan kasi napagod na ako.”When it comes to relationships, the single guy Tony said he uses his time of independence as a season of endless self-discovery, something that JC also experienced for almost six years before tying the knot. Now that he’s a married man, his wife and kids are his safety blanket. He smiled, musing about the most fulfilling thing about his life now, which is just the bliss of waking up next to his wife and kids.On alone time, JC admitted that his life is now dedicated to his family, so his only chance for ‘me time’ is when he’s driving alone, working out in the gym, or when he’s in the shower. As for Tony, he has this habit called “revenge procrastination” or when he stays up late doing what he missed during the day.
