Ryan Luis Singson with his father, Luis &#x27;Chavit&#x27; Singson (left). <em>Photo courtesy of the governor&#x27;s official Facebook fan page</em></div></figcaption></figure></div><p>ILOCOS SUR - Ilocos Sur Governor Ryan Luis Singson on Tuesday announced that President-elect Rodrigo Duterte has given him his blessings to lead all the 81 governors across the country.</p><p>The 36-year-old governor, who ran unopposed in the recently concluded May 9 elections, said he is just waiting for the formality of his appointment during the first meeting of the Governor&#x27;s League on July 21.</p><p>&quot;May blessing na po ang ating presidente na tayo ang magiging pangulo ng Governor&#x27;s League. Photo courtesy of the governor&#x27;s official Facebook fan page </em></div><p>He said Duterte&#x27;s first instruction for the Governor&#x27;s League was to study how the different provinces will benefit from a federal form of government, which the incoming president has been campaigning for.</p><p>Meanwhile, the governor said Duterte also offered a position to his father, Luis &quot;Chavit&quot; Singson.</p><p>The older Singson, however, refused, saying he will concentrate on his new role as a <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/halalan2016/nation/regions/05/10/16/ex-gov-chavit-now-a-councilor" target="_blank">municipal councilor</a> in the town of Narvacan.</p>
