The surveillance covers 5 to 10 hotels where pimps rent rooms for 2 weeks up to 1 year, said Major Gideon Ines, chief of the Makati Police Intelligence Unit. Dun na rin sila magbabayad (The transactions happen there),&quot; he said.<ul class="op-related-articles">	<li><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/01/28/20/filipina-teens-pimped-to-chinese-expats-some-on-wechat-senate-probe">Filipina teens pimped to Chinese expats, some on WeChat: Senate probe</a></li></ul>Ines urged the Senate to craft regulation aimed at questionable bookings in hotels, and establish a mechanism wherein tourist establishments will be required to coordinate with authorities when crimes are alleged to have happened in their establishments.The Senate panel will consider Ines&#x27; suggestions, alongside other petitions to regulate Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO), where many Chinese expatriates work, Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality chair Risa Hontiveros said.The committee needs to look at these POGOs as an industry and business to see if the &quot;economic benefits the country gets from it outweighs the social costs,&quot; she said.
