10 critical, scores injured in Cavite factory fire

Gen. Charito Plaza, director-general of Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), said around 6,000 to 7,000 employees were at work when the fire broke out.</p><p>Plaza said there were employees reportedly trapped on the third floor of the 6-hectare building, as fire broke out on the second floor.</p><p>Third alarm was immediately raised and the alert level reached Task Force Charlie around 9 p.m. The blaze spread to a nearby factory that contained wood used to build houses.</p><div><strong>- With reports from Ron Lopez, DZMM</strong></div>
