'Duterte Youth' to recruit 1 million to defend Duterte from ouster

MANILA- Pro-government group “Duterte Youth” is eyeing 1 million new recruits this year to defend President Rodrigo Duterte from ouster plots and political tirades.The group said it plans to recruit at least 1,000 members, aged 15 to 30, in each municipality and at least 5,000 members in each city.“The long wait ends today, we have a strongman leader now who will change Philippine society and now we raise the 1 million youth who will answer to Rizal and Duterte&#x27;s call for real change in the Philippines,&quot; Duterte Youth Chairman Ronald Cardema said.Aside from securing the presidency for Duterte, recruits are also expected by the group to assist the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police in catching criminals such as drug addicts pushers, rapists, and suspected terrorists in every barangay.
