Police arrested a man accused of raping a four-month old baby in Carcar City.

The Carcar City Police Station arrested the victim’s neighbor, Jonathan Marfe, 40.

Marfe denied the allegation but three people whom he had a drinking spree with on Thursday night gave their statements to police to bolster the case against him.

Authorities also recovered a carton with blood stains from his home. The blood stains from the carton and the baby’s diaper found at the crime scene will be sent to the crime laboratory for cross matching.

The mother and the baby were sleeping inside their home when the suspect went inside the house and took the infant, according to initial investigation by the Carcar City Police Station Women's Desk.
