MANILA--A Far Eastern Air Transport plane from Taipei overshot the runway of Kalibo International Airport on Wednesday night, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said.

CAAP spokesperson Eric Apolonio said the incident happened at 6:04 p.m., while normal operations resumed by 7:34 p.m.

"Nag-overextend 'yung kaniyang gulong sa grassy area ng Kalibo International Aiprort during 'yung kaniyang 180-degree turn papunta roon sa airport terminal," he told radio DZMM.

All 121 passengers and 7 crew members are safe, police said.
