All Pasig employees to get full pay during COVID-19 quarantine: Vico Sotto

<p>MANILA -- Mayor Vico Sotto said Pasig City government employees, whether regular or contractual, would get their full salaries during the Luzon-wide lockdown against COVID-19.</p><p>Frontline workers will also get hazard pay, overtime pay and other benefits, Sotto said on Facebook.</p><p>&quot;&#x27;Wag kayong mag-alala, tuloy-tuloy kayong makakatanggap ng buong sweldo -- kahit &#x27;yung mga job order na &quot;no work no pay&quot;. Gagawan natin ng paraan. Basta, mag-ingat, at hangga&#x27;t maaari sa bahay lang muna kayo, he said.</p><p>Listed below are the work arrangements set by the local government unit of Pasig:</p><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/VicoSotto/posts/2933393946719264" data-width="auto"></div><p>President Rodrigo Duterte on Tuesday declared a state of national calamity on the first day of an enhanced quarantine that locked down Luzon island, home to roughly half the population.</p><p>Metro Manila&#x27;s borders were shut to most passenger traffic and people were advised to stay and work in their homes. </p><p>The health department recorded a total of 187 COVID-19 infections with 14 fatalities and 6 recoveries. </p>
