3.3-magnitude quake jolts La Union

A 3.3-magnitude quake hit La Union, around 1:27 p.m., Tuesday.

The quake that struck 11 kilometers east of the Municipality of Bagulin has not caused neither damage nor aftershocks, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said in its report.

Two earthquakes were meanwhile monitored in Davao Oriental.

(PHIVOLCS) recorded a 4.4-magnitude quake 155 kilometers Southeast of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental at 10:44 AM. It also monitored a 4.5-magnitude earthquake 173 kilometers Southeast of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental on 11:03 AM Tuesday.

More than 20 tremors were recorded in Batangas on Tuesday alone, days after three quakes jolted the province.

PHIVOLCS monitored 21 temblors with magnitudes ranging between 1.8 to 3.9, the strongest recorded 001 kilometer Northwest of the town of Tingloy at 06:17 AM.

The tremors came three days after multiple earthquakes jolted parts of Luzon with the strongest one recorded at magnitude-6, registering an Intensity 7 in the town of Mabini in Batangas.
