Karren Canon, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>SORSOGON CITY – Arestado ang isang 54 anyos na lalaki matapos maaktuhang sangkot sa pagbili at pagbebenta umano ng boto sa kanilang barangay.Nasa kustodiya ngayon ng Philippine National Police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG) sa Sorsogon ang suspek na naaresto Sabado ng umaga. Narekober sa kaniya ang mahigit P25,000 na pera at campaign paraphernalia.Laman ng isang envelope ang list of voters, campaign materials at sample ballot na nakalagay sa isa pang envelope na may P1,700 bawat isa. Nasa P25,000 ang total na halaga ng perang narekober ng CIDG.Depensa ng suspek, hindi siya ang namimigay ng pera. Nagsitakbuhan daw ang namimigay nito nang dumating ang CIDG at sa kaniya naiwan ang envelope.Hindi daw siya makatakbo dahil na-mild stroke ang kaliwang paa. Napasama lang daw siya sa grupo dahil nagbabaka-sakali siyang mabigyan din ng pera.Ayon sa CIDG, parehong mahaharap sa election offense ang namimili at nagbebenta ng boto. Makakasuhan din ang mga kandidatong kasama ang pangalan sa mga narekober nilang ebidensiya.Dagdag naman ni Police Col. Marlon Tejada, provincial director ng Sorsogon, Biyernes lang nang bumuo ang pulisya ng provincial task force laban sa vote buying at selling.Pangalawa na ang suspek sa nahuli nila sa bilihan ng boto.Base sa kanilang monitoring, sa Sorsogon City ang namo-monitor nilang talamak ang bilihan ng boto.Panawagan nila sa mga kandidato na itigil na ang ganitong uri ng aktibidad ngayong eleksiyon dahil magpapatuloy ang kanilang mas pinaigting na operasyon para dito.
