Ayon sa commander ng Philippine National Police Task Force na si Lt. Col. Adrian Acollador, nahuli ang 12 sa kanila na may hawak na sample ballots at may kasamang tig P1,000.Kasamang inaresto rin ang iba pang nakasakay sa jeep na nagmula pa sa bayan ng Pulupandan matapos na matagpuan ang marami pang mga sample ballots sa loob ng behikulo.Paliwanag ng pulisya, maliban sa vote buying, nakalagay din sa Fair Elections Act na sinumang may hawak ng sample ballot isang araw bago ang halalan ay pwedeng hulihin dahil labag ito sa batas. Sinusubukan pa ng ABS-CBN News na makunan ng pahayag ang incumbent mayoralty candidate kung saan ang pangalan niya ay nakalagay sa sample ballots na nakumpiska ng pulisya.Nakakulong na sa Moises Padilla Police Station ang mga nahuli.
