MANILA - A voter's ID is not required to participate in the Barangay and Sanggunian Kabataan elections on Monday, the Commission on Elections said.

(We monitored some misinformation last night with some claiming that you can't vote if you don't have a voter's ID. This has discouraged many people from voting.)

(That is not true -- you don't need to present a voter's ID to cast your vote.)

Voters can bring any valid ID for election officers to verify their identity, he said.

Jimenez also reminded the public that taking photos of their filled out ballots is prohibited.
