Sepe Jr., ABS-CBN News/File</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA - Lawyer Larry Gadon, a self-proclaimed crusader against stupidity, claimed Tuesday that he was cheated in the midterm elections as he trailed in partial and unofficial results. </p><p>Gadon, in a Facebook video, blasted Monday&#x27;s polls as &quot;napakarumi at madaya&quot; (dirty and unfair).</p><p>&quot;Naniniwala ako na nabiktima ako ng dagdag-bawas. Na-shave ang aking mga boto upang idagdag sa mga admin (administration) candidates,&quot; he alleged.</p><p>(I believe that I&#x27;m a victim of election cheating. My votes were shaved and added to the candidates of the administration.)</p><p>&quot;Ako ay nadaya. Ang boto ko ay nadagdag sa mga admin na mahina,&quot; he added.</p><p>(I was cheated. My votes went to weak candidates of the administration.)</p><div><script src="https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&amp;version=v2.5" async="" type="text/javascript"></script></div><div class="fb-post" data-href="https://www.facebook.com/attygadon/videos/1996983363747152" data-width="auto"> </div><p>Gadon, who is running under the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan party, has been in 28th place in the senatorial race with 3,337,896 votes as of 5:53 p.m., based on election returns from 95.17 percent of clustered precincts nationwide. </p><p>Gadon expressed frustration at his dismal election performance and claimed that he always topped mock polls in universities.</p><p>But this claim is false as Gadon was not <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/ancx/culture/spotlight/05/11/19/national-surveys-vs-campus-polls">included</a> in the top 12 preferred senatorial candidates in pre-election surveys in several universities such as the University of the Philippines-Diliman, University of Santo Tomas, Polytechnic University of the Philippines, De La Salle University-Manila, and Far Eastern University.</p><p>&quot;Mula pa noon sa social media at sa mga mock elections sa malalaking unibersidad palagi akong nagto-top, top 1 o top 5,&quot; he said.</p><p>(I was always topping surveys in big universities and on social media. I was always either top 1 or top 5.) </p><p>It was not clear which particular surveys he was referring to. </p><p>&quot;Sa pagikot-ikot ko sa lahat ng mga siyudad at probinsya talagang pinagkakaguluhan ako, even in those far places na hindi ako nagkaroon kahit isang poster,&quot; he added.</p><p>(In my campaign visits to the provinces, people always went crazy over me, even in far places where I didn&#x27;t have a poster.)</p><p>Gadon is known as the man behind the impeachment complaint against ousted Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno. He previously <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/10/12/18/lawyer-who-sought-sereno-ouster-seeks-senate-seat">said</a> that his bid for the Senate was brought about by the presence of several unqualified lawmakers in the chamber, making reference to opposition senators. </p>
