#HalalanResults: Padaca trails Dy in Isabela vice gubernatorial grace

MANILA -- Former Isabela Governor Grace Padaca struggled in the vice gubernatorial race, with 97.5 percent of the votes counted as of Tuesday. Padaca, a former Commission on Elections commissioner, got 166,381 votes, a fourth of the 482,062 votes secured by her opponent, incumbent Governor Faustino “Bojie” Dy III as of 8:40 a.m. Padaca&#x27;s running mate was supposed to be Dy&#x27;s brother, Isabela 3rd District Representative Napoleon Dy, but he withdrew his candidacy in November last year. Bojie Dy&#x27;s runningmate, Isabela 1st District Representative Rodito Albano, led the gubernatorial race with 574,959 votes against the 20,971 votes of independent candidate Tony Aliangan. <div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2019/news/05/14/60091417_1718672124946043_5399804219366572032_n.png"/></figure></div>The Supreme Court in October last year ordered the Sandiganbayan to proceed with Padaca&#x27;s <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/10/31/18/sc-denies-grace-padaca-petition-orders-sandigan-to-proceed-with-corruption-trial">trial</a> for graft and malversation of public funds over the use of P25 million in agricultural allocations.
