Mark Demayo, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA – Television Journalist Jiggy Manicad on Tuesday conceded defeat in the senatorial elections, saying there could be a different &quot;assignment&quot; for him outside of a public post.The GMA Network reporter and anchor got 6,661,638 based on 94 percent of votes cast, putting him in 20th place with 12 seats up for grabs, according to data from the Comelec transparency server.He ran under Hugpong ng Pagbabago, a regional party led by President Rodrigo Duterte&#x27;s daughter, Sara Duterte-Carpio.&quot;Ngayon ang will ng Panginoon ay hindi pa muna siguro may iba pa siyang assignment para sa atin ang hindi po matatawaran dito ay &#x27;yung tulong ng bawat isang ordinaryong mamayan, &#x27;yung bawat isang volunteer,&quot; Manicad said.(Maybe the Lord has a different assignment for me. I cannot that enough ordinary citizens who helped.)&quot;We played by the rules ika nga, &#x27;yung tamang pangangampanya base sa prinsipyo ng pagiging tama at malinis ay ginawa natin. &#x27;Yun po ang isang pwede nating ipagmalaki sa kampanyang ito,&quot; he added.(We played by the rules, campaigning based on principles.
