Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA (2nd UPDATE)—Administration-backed ACT-CIS and left-leaning Bayan Muna were the only party-list groups to get 3 seats each at the House of Representatives in the midterm polls, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said Wednesday as it proclaimed the winners in the party-list race.Fifty-one party-list groups out of 134 who joined the party-list elections secired at least 1 seat in the upcoming 18th Congress.ACT-CIS, or Anti-Crime and Terrorism Through Community Involvement and Support, will see all its 3 nominees Eric Yap, Jocelyn Tulfo, and Rowena Niña Taduran elevated to the House of Representatives. Jocelyn is the wife of broadcaster Raffy Tulfo.Bayan Muna will be represented by Carlos Isagani Zarate, Ferdinand Gaite, and Eufemia Cullamat.A party-list group is entitled to a maximum of 3 seats.AKO Bicol, Cibac or the Citizens&#x27; Battle Against Corruption (Cibac), Ang Probinsyano, 1PACMAN or One Patriotic Coalition of Marginalized Nationals, Marino, and Probinsyano Ako, meanwhile, will get 2 seats each.Militant youth group Kabataan and pro-Duterte administration group Duterte Youth also made the cut, getting a seat each.These two groups have been trading barbs since the campaign period, as Kabataan criticized former National Youth Commission chairperson Ronald Cardema’s bid to become party-list group Duterte Youth’s first nominee through substitution. The poll body has yet to resolve Cardema’s petition at the time this story was posted.Meanwhile, as Duterte-backed party-list groups got in the winners’ circle, party-list race old-timers such as Akbayan and Anakpawis failed to get House seats.Anakpawis is a member of the 5-group left-leaning Makabayan bloc, which traditionally opposes government policies. Akbayan, meanwhile, was once represented by opposition Sen.
