Tolentino taps 2 Bar topnotchers to join his team

MANILA - Incoming Sen. Francis Tolentino on Wednesday said 2 Bar topnotchers from Cebu will be part of his legislative staff in the Senate.

Cebu’s University of San Carlos produced 3 topnotchers in the 2018 Bar examinations namely Mark Lawrence Badayos, Jabb Lynus Cane and Alen Joel Pita.

"Kahapon nag-interview na ako ng staff. 'Yung dalawang Bar topnotchers from Cebu in this year’s bar exams will join me,” Tolentino told reporters on the sidelines of the Senate proclamation event in Pasay City.

Tolentino is among the 5 Senate neophytes in the 18th Congress, after he placed 9th in the 2019 midterm polls with some 15 million votes.

Amendments to the local government code and bills that would improve water systems and disaster management would be prioritized, he said.
