MAGUINDANAO - Police and soldiers confiscated various guns, homemade explosives and a suspected Islamic State flag when they raided a house in Datu Odin Sinsuat town here on Tuesday.

A spot report from the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group listed only the confiscated firearms and explosives.

Photos given to the media however showed the confiscated items as well as uniforms, backpacks, bandoliers, tactical boots and a black flag bearing the ISIS insignia.

ARMM regional chief Supt. James Allan Logan, in a phone interview with ABS-CBN News, said they could not yet divulge any information on the recovery of the ISIS insignia and the identities of the operation's targets.

The Army's 6th Infantry Division has also yet to issue a statement on the raid.

The operation was conducted by virtue of 2 orders: an arrest warrant against a certain Iskak Mokamad for violation of the Firearms and Ammunition Act; and an arrest, search and seizure order (ASSO) from the military issued amid the martial rule in Mindanao.

Mokamad evaded arrest but his house and that of an Amin Abedin yielded the confiscated firearms and explosives.

A certain Kamarodin Butocan Raguiab meanwhile was arrested on suspicion that he is part of a terror group. -- Report from Lore Mae Andong, ABS-CBN News
