MAYNILA – Ipinag-utos ng Philippine National Police (PNP) kay broadcaster Erwin Tulfo na pansamantalang ipatago sa kanila ang mga baril nito na paso na ang lisensiya.

"The Philippine National Police has ordered for the recall or temporary safekeeping of the firearms of Erwin Tulfo in as much as the license to own and possess of firearms (LTOPF) of Mr. Erwin tulfo has already expired," ani PNP spokesperson Col. Bernard Banac.

Ito ay ilang araw lamang nang tanggalin din ng PNP ang police escorts ni Tulfo dahil sa tirada nito kay Social Welfare Secretary Rolando Bautista na tumangging magpa-interview sa kaniyang programa.

Sa press conference nitong Biyernes sa Camp Crame, sinabi ni Banac na buwan pa ng Mayo nang mag-expire ang LTOPF ni Tulfo.

"If the LTOPF is already expired, then there is no more authority or reason for an individual to keep firearms, to own firearms even if these firearms are still valid or if the licenses are still valid," paliwanag pa ni Banac.

Sakaling hindi isuko ni Tulfo ang kaniyang mga baril habang nirerenew ang LTOPF nito ay maaari siyang bigyan ng search warrant para mabawi ang mga armas.

"Owners need to have a license to own and possess firearms. Without this, there is no authoritization for any individual to keep firearms even if these are registered or licensed firearms," dagdag ni Banac.
