<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="https://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2019/news/06/30/track.jpg"/></figure></div>MANILA — (UPDATE) Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 has been raised over Batanes as tropical depression Egay continues to affect the country.In its 11 p.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said winds of 30 to 60 kilometers per hour (kph) may be expected in Batanes within at least 36 hours.Egay was 405 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora at 10 p.m., packing maximum sustained winds of 55 kph and gusts of 65 kph, said PAGASA. It had further accelerated, moving northwest at 35 kph.The tropical depression had a very low chance of hitting land, but will enhance the habagat or southwest monsoon until Tuesday, PAGASA weather forecaster Ariel Rojas earlier said.Occasionally heavy monsoon rains may trigger floods and landslides in Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Central Luzon, Cordillera Administrative Region, Bicol region, Antique, Aklan and Western Iloilo, while cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms were expected over the rest of Luzon and Western Visayas, PAGASA said.PAGASA also said around two to three typhoons may affect the country in July.Visit the <a href="http://news.abs-cbn.com/weather">ABS-CBN Weather Center</a> for the latest weather updates.
