ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>After Cebu City government officials cancelled the validity of old quarantine passes, they issued new ones over the weekend.But to the residents&#x27; shock, the passes weren&#x27;t as handy as before as what they received is in the size of an A4 bond paper.&quot;Hasol oi, mag sakripisyo gyod mi ani kay dako kaayo, (Such a hassle, we will have to sacrifice because it is very big)&quot; said resident Sesena Baring.The passes have a unique QR code but when you scan it, a scan error would prompt.Others had fights between checkpoints because they did not receive their own quarantine passes yet and are denied exit to buy essential goods.&quot;Wala nami makaon (We don&#x27;t have anything to eat anymore),&quot; said Consuelo Redula.Social media posts of some barangays also disclosed that the actual number of quarantine passes that they received is not equal to the number of households. Others also complained that compounds, subdivisions and condo units have only limited passes when the local government promised to give 1 pass per household.After several attempts of calling officials in the city hall, nobody gave their official statement on the mix up on the passes nor about its ridiculous size and malfunctioning QR code.Police Regional Office 7 Director Ignatius Ferro said that they are willing to help follow up on the issue. He also said that they will allow residents to go out if they can prove that they haven&#x27;t received their quarantine pass and that they will be going out to buy essential items.&quot;We&#x27;ll try to help those that need,&quot; Ferro also added.The new quarantine passes follow an odd-even number scheme as to the schedule when residents can go out.
