MANILA - The Philippine National Police (PNP) is developing a mobile application and text hotline as the newest tools in its campaign against narcotics.A wordplay on the name of PNP Chief Director Ronald &quot;Bato&quot; Dela Rosa, the &quot;Text Bato&quot; hotline and &quot;Itaga Mo sa Bato&quot; mobile app will be dedicated to receiving drug-related tips and complaintsSenior Supt. Wilbert Cruz, director of the PNP Community Relations group, said they aim to launch the app and hotline within the next 45 days.&quot;Iyung Text Bato, this will be a system kung saan pwedeng mag-report iyung mga kababayan natin using even iyung ordinary cellphone na hawak nila,&quot; he said.&quot;Kung mayroon kang Android phone or iOS phone, mayroon din kaming ilalabas na app, yung Itaga Mo sa Bato.&quot;The public may also pass information on other crimes and scalawag policemen through the project, Cruz said.Cruz said an LED billboard will also be set up at the Camp Crame in EDSA, Quezon City to display the number of suspects arrested or killed in police operations.The LED billboard will also display PNP reminders, calamity warnings and traffic alerts. -- Report from Henry Atuelan, DZMM
