Parte iyan na sana iyung ating mga anak, hindi ma-develop na normal ang magganoon,&quot; said Mayor Mauricio Domogan.</p><p>(We&#x27;ve noticed that swearing and using lewd language seem to have become normal. That ordinance is part of our effort to prevent children from developing this habit.)</p><p>Asked what would happen to tourists caught swearing, Domogan said: &quot;Sabihan mo lang iyung tao na hindi naman ganoon, mayroon kaming ordinansa dito na anti-profanity.&quot;</p><p>(Tell the person to stop and that we have an ordinance against profanity.)</p><p>Public spaces occupied by children are also required to display signage saying that cursing is not allowed.</p><p>Baguio is home to some 300,000 people, of which 65.5 percent is below 30 years old, according to local government data in 2010.</p><p>Famed for its cool weather, the city welcomed some 930,000 tourists in 2014, based on tourism department data.</p><div><strong>-- DZMM, 7 November 2018</strong></div>
