MANILA - Police arrested a suspected hired killer in Nueva Vizcaya over the weekend.

The suspect was identified as George Ginabay who is allegedly engaged in illegal activities in Metro Manila and nearby regions.

Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Director Roel Obusan said Ginabay often tells his clients that he is an Army sergeant.

Among those allegedly killed by Ginabay include a barangay chairman in Nueva Vizcaya and a police officer in Cagayan.

Ginabay also allegedly tried to kill Mayor Avelino Amangyen of Paracelis, Mountain Province last October 10.

The suspect refused to comment on the accusations against him. The CIDG will continue its investigation on Ginabay.
