SIPALAY CITY, Negros Occidental – Lumubog sa dagat na sakop ng siyudad na ito ang isang dredger barge dahil sa lakas ng alon, Miyerkoles ng umaga.
Isang tugboat ang humihila sa crane barge at dredger barge mula Albuera, Leyte na patungong San Jose, Antique.
Ayon sa Philippine Coast Guard, dahil sa malakas na alon ay pinasok ng tubig ang likuran ng dredger barge kaya’t tumawag ng rescue ang tugboat.
Nang dumating na ang rescue tugboat ay hinila nito ang dredger barge, ngunit ‘di na nakaya pa ang malalaking alon kaya lumubog ito nang tuluyan sa dagat sakop ng Anjouan Island.

Ligtas naman ang 11 tripulante ng mga tugboat.
Nasa 69 metro ang lalim ng tubig kung saan lumubog ang dredger barge, ayon sa City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office ng Sipalay.
