File</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA- As 2018 came to an end, majority of Filipinos remained satisfied with President Rodrigo Duterte&#x27;s performance as chief executive, results of a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released Friday showed.Duterte&#x27;s net satisfaction rating went up to a &quot;very good&quot; +60 from his &quot;very good&quot; +54 rating in <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/09/29/18/duterte-net-satisfaction-rating-back-to-very-good">September</a>. The survey found that 74 percent of adult Filipinos were satisfied with Duterte&#x27;s performance, while only 15 percent were dissatisfied. The other 11 percent meanwhile were undecided.This represents a 4-point increase from 70 percent gross satisfaction in September, while dissatisfaction fell by 1 point from 16 percent. <div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/entertainment/12/28/1.jpg"/></figure></div>The President&#x27;s +60 score brings his annual average net satisfaction score to a &quot;very good&quot; +54, lower by 5 points from his 2017 average net satisfaction score of +59.SWS attributed the rise in Duterte&#x27;s net satisfaction rating in the last quarter of the year to increases in his rating across Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, and Visayas from &quot;good&quot; to &quot;very good.&quot;Duterte, who hails from Davao City, meanwhile maintained his &quot;excellent&quot; rating in Mindanao at +73, although lower from the +77 rating he recorded in September.The 73-year-old leader also enjoyed an increase in his satisfaction rating in all socio-economic classes and in all age groups except the 45-to-54 age bracket.In social classes A, B, C, and E, Duterte saw an increase in his satisfaction rating from &quot;good&quot; to &quot;very good.&quot;He, however, maintained his &quot;very good&quot; rating from class D or the &quot;masa&quot; (masses) class at +58, higher than his +56 rating in September.The fourth quarter survey, conducted from Dec. 16 to 19, 2018, was done using face-to-face interviews of 1,440 adults nationwide and has a +/- 2.6 percent margin of error for national percentages.Duterte rose to power in 2016 riding on a campaign to rid the country of illegal drugs and corruption. Since assuming office, he has repeatedly courted controversy over his criticism of the Catholic Church, human rights advocates, and cursing.
