<div class="embed-wrap"><figure data-feedback="fb:likes,fb:comments"><img src="http://sa.kapamilya.com/absnews/abscbnnews/media/2018/news/12/28/ph2.jpg"/><figcaption><em>Photo by Japanese Meteorological Agency</em></figcaption></figure></div><p>MANILA - A total of 31 areas were placed under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 1 Friday, hours before tropical depression Usman&#x27;s expected landfall in Eastern Samar, state weather bureau PAGASA said.</p><p>As of 10 a.m., Usman was spotted 230 kilometers east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar with maximum sustained winds of up to 55 kph and gustiness of up to 65 kph, PAGASA said.</p><p>Usman may intensify into a tropical storm before hitting land over Eastern Samar Friday night, senior weather specialist Chris Perez said.</p><p>&quot;Napakalawak na dala nitong kaulapan. Ito ang inaasahang magdudulot o makakaapekto sa weather,&quot; Perez said.</p><p>(The cloudiness it brings covers a wide area.
