File</em> </span></span></span></div><p>MANILA — The Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) on Tuesday said it has been going after over 100 small illegal gambling operators in the Philippines after large-scale Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGO) “disintegrated into small units.” </p><p>They are situated in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, PAOCC spokesperson Winston Casio said.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/6/13/paocc-urges-mayors-to-help-in-crackdown-on-illegal-pogos-1125">PAOCC urges mayors to help in crackdown on illegal POGOs</a> </div><p>“‘Yung mga dati na daan-daan, libu-libo ang mga empleyado, they have disintegrated into smaller units kaya mas lalo silang dumami,” he told state television PTV. </p><p>“Ang hamon talaga ay napakaraming nag-underground. There are a good number of them and we’re having difficulty catching up,” he said. </p><p>“Nagpapasalamat na lang kami na may mga tumutulong na ahensya ng LGU at ahensya ng pamahalaan,” he added. </p><p>The agency is also monitoring some Chinese and Malaysian-Chinese nationals who may be financing illegal gambling operations, Casio mentioned.</p><div><a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/10/13/mas-mataas-pang-boss-sa-pogo-sa-pilipinas-tinutugis-1734">Mas mataas pang boss sa POGO sa Pilipinas tinutugis</a></div><div><a class="fr-strong fr-green" href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/10/10/exclusive-pogo-godfather-at-10-pogo-boss-arestado-2354">EXCLUSIVE: POGO &#x27;godfather&#x27; at 10 &#x27;boss&#x27; arestado sa Laguna</a> </div><p>“May lead tayo, kasalukuyan natin silang binabantayan at nagde-develop lang tayo ng kasong sapat para mag-apply ng search warrant, mission orders para sila ay masakote at madakip natin,” he said. </p><p>“In the next few days, weeks makukuha natin ang mga ito,” he explained. </p><p>Casio also urged Filipino real estate owners to immediately report suspected illegal activities in the units they are renting. </p><p>“Make sure that you do your due diligence kasi kapag napatunayan namin na hinayaan ninyo magamit ang inyong facilities sa ilegala na aktibidades, ipapasara namin kayo,” he warned. “Kami ay magfafile ng civil forfeiture para makuha ng gobyerno ang inyong mga property.&quot; </p><p>Meantime, the PAOCC spokesperson said they are also monitoring Filipinos who have been trying to “take over scamming operations” left behind by international POGO.</p>
