A thick haze envelops the city as the sun sets on Friday before the forecasted bad weather as typhoon Pepito crosses the Philippines.

A thick haze envelops the city as the sun sets on Friday as viewed from San Mateo, Rizal. Metro Manila experienced fairly good weather Friday, but the PAGASA weather bureau forecasts typhoon Pepito will bring destructive and devastating winds along its immediate path, heavy to torrential rains in many parts of Luzon and Eastern Visayas.

The typhoon is expected to traverse the country from Samar, make landfall in Catanduanes, and continue its path to Aurora before crossing over Northern Luzon over the weekend.

Pepito will be closest to Metro Manila midday to early afternoon Sunday.
