Robinhood Padilla. </p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/3/11/house-lawmakers-urge-quiboloy-to-face-smni-probe-1523">House lawmakers urge Quiboloy to face SMNI probe</a></div><p>Iginiit ng NTC na may limitasyon ang lahat, at na may mga limitasyon at kondisyon sa pagbigay ng prangkisa sa isang kumpanya.</p><p>&quot;Meron man pagkakaiba ng opinyon sa pangyayaring ito, pero hindi kami gumagalaw ng walang basehan ang amin pong mga aksyon,&quot; ani NTC commissioner Ella Blanca Lopez.</p><p>Sa pagbaba ng suspension order, kinilala ng NTC ang House Resolution No. 189 na  <a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/12/21/23/ntc-issues-30-day-suspension-order-vs-smni">may mga nalabag na probisyon sa prangkisa ang SMNI</a>. </p><div><strong>SMNI: &#x27;HINDI PATAS&#x27;</strong></div><p>Muli namang iginiit ng SMNI na hindi patas ang naging desisyo na pagpataw ng indefinite suspension sa broadcast nito. </p><p>Sabi ni Jose “Jay” Sonza na tumatayong SMNI operations consultant na nagulat na lamang sila na pinapahinto na ang kanilang operasyon.</p><p>&quot;Ngayon lang ako nakakita ng preventive suspension na indefinite. Hindi natin alam — 30 days ba, 60 days ba 1 year ba? Walang naka-indicate hanggang kailan... Hindi rin tayo nabigyan ng pagkakataon na magpaliwanag bakit may na-violate ang SMNI sa rules ng NTC, sa certificate of public convenience, even sa franchise,&quot; ani Atty. Mark Tolentino, abugado ng kumpanya.</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/01/23/24/ntc-orders-smni-to-stop-operations-pending-case-resolution">BASAHIN: NTC orders SMNI to cease and desist operations pending final resolution of case </a></div><div><strong>&#x27;CHILLING EFFECT&#x27;</strong></div><p>Sinabi naman ng Kapisanan ng Brodkaster ng Pilipinas  na nagkaroon ng chilling effect — takot o pangamba sa pag-gampan ng tungkulin o trabaho — ang suspension sa SMNI pero garantiya ng NTC, patas sila sa mga reklamo na isinasampa sa kanila.</p><p>&quot;Nakakalungkot na may ganung klaseng epekto po sa industriya but we want to assure the industry that we are fair in our dealings and that may basis po ang aming mga aksyon,&quot; ani NTC Commissioner Lopez. </p><p>Para sa kampo ng SMNI, naging sunud-sunuran lang ang NTC sa nais ng Kamara.</p><p>Sa gitna ng lahat, iginiit ni Padilla, na una nang tinutulan ang pagpapaaresto sa &quot;honorary&quot; chair ng SMNI na si Apollo Quiboloy sa hiwalay na kaso, na wala silang kinakampihang panig.</p><p>Iginiit ni Padilla na dapat hiwalay ang isyung estado at relihiyon. </p><p>&quot;Mayroon kasi tayong malinaw sa Saligang Batas, ang paghihiwalay ng estado at ng religion. Sana sa usapin na ito, maikapit po natin yan. May programa sa SMNI na may kinalaman po sa religion. Ako na po siguro ang isa sa mga nakikiusap sa ating mga namumuno na pagdating sana sa usaping religion, huwag natin itong isama sa political issue,&quot; sabi niya.</p><p>Ang &quot;separation of Church and State&quot; ay konsepto na nagbabawal sa estado na mag-deklara ng isang state religion at pumoprotekta sa karapatan ng malayang pananampalataya.</p><p>Ang mga isyu na hinaharap ng SMNI sa NTC ay hindi dahil sa mga paniniwala ng Kingdom of Jesus Christ, na pinamumunuan ni Quiboloy.</p>
