she said.</p><p>&quot;You showed me that I deserved to be loved and respected, that with you, I can put my guard down,&quot; she said.</p><p>&quot;And if there is one thing I&#x27;d ask of you, it is for you to promise to stay for as long as you can so I can grow old with you.&quot;</p><p>The <a class="fr-green fr-strong" href="https://fb.watch/rXfyRFgNG2/">ceremony</a> was held in the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Batangas, while the reception was held in front of the provincial capitol.</p><p>The couple reportedly began dating this year, less than two years after Mandanas&#x27; wife Anakalusugan Party-list nominee Regina Reyes died.</p><div><strong>THE NEW MRS. MANDANAS</strong></div><p>During the wedding reception, Mandanas described his new wife as someone who is &quot;never boring.&quot;</p><p>&quot;Harinawa ay makatulong kaming dalawa sa pagkakaroon ng tunay na masagana at happy life dito sa atin hindi lang sa lalawigan ng Batangas kung hindi sa buong Pilipinas,&quot; he said.</p><p>&quot;In our relationship we should not be boring. Nakita naman ninyo kapag si Angelica ang kasama, we can assure you it will never be boring.&quot;</p><p>Mrs. Chua-Mandanas hails from a political family from the town of Ibaan, Batangas. Her father is a doctor, while her mother is the executive judge of Batangas City.</p><p>&quot;My mother is… Judge Maria Cecilia Austria Chua, who was the brain behind the Mandanas ruling for which the governor is very… proud and well-known,&quot; she said, referring to the landmark case which allowed local government to have a share in revenues collected by the Bureau of Customs (BOC).</p><p>Chua-Mandanas introduced herself as a partner in the Platon-Martinez Law office in Makati, while her siblings also work either in the medical or legal fields.</p><p>&quot;I believe in the law of attraction. Believe it or not I actually manifested this day… I&#x27;ve always wanted and I knew I&#x27;d marry a politician because <span dir="ltr" id="isPasted">I know I&#x27;d be a great partner</span> ,&quot; she said.<strong></strong></p><p>&quot;I know that my wedding will be the wedding of the year,&quot; she said.</p><p>The new first lady of Batangas also thanked the governor&#x27;s siblings for welcoming her into their family.</p><p>&quot;I would like to thank the Mandanas family for welcoming me with open arms,&quot; she said.</p><p>&quot;Sa totoo lang, noong una kaming nag-meet ng siblings ni Gov, takot na takot talaga ako… but they were very very welcoming. Thank you very much po,&quot; she said.</p><p>The church ceremony and the reception were both livestreamed on the social media pages of the Batangas Public Information Office.</p>
