Sonny Angara, Duterte said she had hoped to finish all her targets for the education sector.</p><p>&quot;It is with a heavy heart that I leave the Department of Education. Minahal ko ang trabaho na ito. Minahal ko ang mga kasama ko sa Department of Education,&quot; she said.</p><p>(It is with a heavy heart that I leave the Department of Education. I loved this job. I loved my colleagues here in the Department of Education.)</p><p>&quot;So, mayroon talaga akong regrets kasi gusto ko talaga tapusin kung ano man ang dapat deliverables ng Marcos administration mula sa Department of Education,&quot; Duterte said.</p><p>(So, I really have regrets because I really wanted to complete whatever deliverables the Marcos administration has from the Department of Education.)</p><div><a href="https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/2024/7/18/vp-duterte-angara-meet-for-deped-turnover-1004" id="isPasted">READ: Angara takes DepEd helm from VP Duterte</a></div><p>She said she had reasons for leaving President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.&#x27;s Cabinet.</p><p>&quot;Mayroong personal sa aming dalawa ni President Marcos which stems from iyong napag-usapan namin bago ako pumayag na tumakbo  as Vice President. Mayroon siyang sa trabaho, mayroon siyang sa bayan,&quot; she said.</p><p>&quot;So mahaba siya na kuwento, and then we will need a sit-down,&quot; she added.</p><p>(It&#x27;s something personal between President Marcos and me, which stems from what we discussed before I agreed to run as Vice President. It involves work and the country.
