Tropical Depression Gener is about to emerge over the West Philippine Sea, moving westward at 15 km/h with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center, gusts of up to 55 km/h, and a central pressure of 998 hPa. Weather bureau PAGASA forecasts strong to gale-force gusts in Batanes, MIMAROPA, the Bicol Region, Visayas, and Mindanao as TD Gener and Tropical Storm Pulasan enhance the southwest monsoon on Tuesday.
