MANILA - Vice President Sara Duterte has asserted that there is no truth to claims that she may bring back the Presidential Commission on Good Government (PCGG) in case she decides to run, and wins as President in 2028. The Office of the Vice President issued the statement, in reaction to an interview with former PCGG Commissioner Ruben Carranza on the ANC program Headstart last June 30, 2025. In the show, host Karen Davila quoted sources as saying that there may be plans by VP Sara Duterte to revive the PCGG to go after the Marcoses.  The OVP maintained that she &quot;has never made such a statement, nor has she expressed any intent or issued any policy direction remotely similar&quot; about the matter, calling the claims by the sources as &quot;a blatant falsehood, an absolute lie, and entirely fabricated&quot;.The Presidential Commission on Good Government was established in 1986 under the administration of former President Corazon Aquino. Its main mandate was to recover the ill-gotten wealth of the Marcoses and their close associates.
