<p>MANILA -- The Department of Transportation (DOTr) said it is currently assessing the damage caused by the 7.5 magnitude earthquake that struck Davao on Friday.</p><p>According to the agency, Davao International Airport will resume operations. The facility sustained only minor damage, and its structural integrity remains intact.</p><p>&quot;The Davao Airport magbubukas shortly ang operations. May minor damage sa airport natin pero the structural integrity sa ating facilities there is okay,&quot; said DOTr acting secretary Giovanni Lopez.</p><p>The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) meanwhile reported that all airports under its jurisdiction remain operational following the Davao quake.</p><p>CAAP said that based on its initial assessments, the quake caused no major damage to airport facilities nationwide.</p><p>&quot;However, minor cracks were observed in the logistics building of Dipolog Airport. CAAP is currently conducting an inspection to ensure structural integrity and passenger safety,&quot; CAAP said.</p><p>The agency said two commercial flights bound for Davao were also diverted following the tremor:</p><ul><li>GAP2813 (Manila–Davao) – diverted to Mactan-Cebu International Airport</li><li>CEB963 (Manila–Davao) – diverted to General Santos International Airport</li></ul><div><br/></div><p>CAAP said it continues to monitor airport operations closely.</p><div><span class="fr-video fr-deletable fr-fvc fr-dvb fr-draggable" contenteditable="false" draggable="true"><iframe width="640" height="360" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/rze7x9MW9Ws?&amp;wmode=opaque&amp;rel=0" frameBorder="0" allowfullscreen="" class="fr-draggable"></iframe></span><br/></div>
