Jonathan Cellona, ABS-CBN News</div>MANILA — Australia is offering the Philippines $3 million to help with relief efforts for communities affected by recent typhoons Tino and Uwan.In a statement, the Australian government said its humanitarian aid can help provide shelter for typhoon victims. They said they can also help with water sanitation, hygiene, health services, and food assistance.&quot;Australia&#x27;s humanitarian partners work closely at the local level with government and civil society to ensure all efforts are coordinated and assistance reaches those most in need,&quot; it said.&quot;Australia always stands ready to support the Philippines,&quot; Ambassador Marc-Innes Brownn added.At least <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/6/typhoon-tino-death-toll-0918" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">140 Filipinos were killed</a> and 127 were left missing after typhoon Tino unleashed devastating floods across the central Philippines.The death toll for typhoon Uwan, meanwhile, has climbed to <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/12/uwan-death-toll-jumps-to-25-ndrrmc-0022" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">27</a>.  More than <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/weather-traffic/2025/11/12/uwan-affected-4-4-million-across-16-regions-1458" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">4.4 million individuals</a> or 1.2 million families across 16 regions in the Philippines were affected by the widespread flooding and devastation brought by the typhoon.The Department of Agriculture said Tino left P159.14 million worth of agricultural damage, while damage due to Uwan has been initially estimated at P142.29 million. Agriculture officials said the rice sector suffered the most damage from the back-to-back typhoons.<div><a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/business/2025/11/12/rice-sector-suffered-most-agri-damage-from-tino-uwan-agri-dept-1625" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Rice sector suffered most agri damage from typhoons Tino, Uwan: DA</a></div>Aside from <a href="https://www.abs-cbn.com/news/nation/2025/11/10/several-countries-offer-aid-after-tino-uwan-devastate-ph-malaca-ang-1741" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Australia</a>, the United States, Japan, Singapore, Timor-Leste, and India have also offered to extend aid to the Philippines.Meanwhile, the UK&#x27;s King Charles III has said he and Queen Camilla were “profoundly saddened to hear of further loss of life” from Uwan’s onslaught.Pope Leo has also prayed for the victims of Uwan.
