Arthur Fuentes, ABS-CBN News </div>SINGAPORE — Visa and GoTyme Bank have sealed a multi-year agreement to accelerate digital payment adoption in the Philippines, South Africa, and future Southeast Asian markets, the companies announced on the sidelines of the Singapore Fintech Festival.Under the deal, Visa will bolster GoTyme Group’s regional expansion through enhanced card-issuance programs, co-marketing efforts, digital infrastructure upgrades, and data-driven financial services. The partnership aims to strengthen secure and seamless payment options in emerging markets where digital adoption continues to rise.“Visa is proud to partner with GoTyme to advance inclusive, secure, and seamless payments across the Philippines and beyond. As a trusted global brand and payments pacesetter, we’re helping accelerate digital and financial inclusion by connecting Filipino consumers and small businesses to the global economy,” said Jeffrey Navarro, Visa Country Manager for the Philippines.Executives from both companies, including GoTyme leadership from the Philippines and South Africa, were present at the announcement event, one of the most prominent gatherings in global fintech.“This partnership with Visa is a major milestone in our journey to bring world-class financial services to emerging markets,” said Coenraad Jonker, Founder and CEO of GoTyme Group.“We’re excited to deepen our impact in the Philippines and South Africa as well as our future markets across Southeast Asia—empowering consumers and small businesses through secure, accessible, and innovative payment experiences.”GoTyme Bank, which has rapidly grown its user base since launching in 2022, said the collaboration will further strengthen its digital payments ecosystem. “Our partnership with Visa has been instrumental in establishing GoTyme Bank as both the fastest-growing and most loved bank in the Philippines. Deepening our Visa partnership will help accelerate our journey to become the largest and most transformative bank in the country,” said Nate Clarke, President and CEO of GoTyme Bank.GoTyme said its  Visa debit card has posted a 153-percent surge in payment volume in 2024, with over 6.5 million users holding more than P37 billion in deposits.
