MANILA — The Department of Budget and Management announced Tuesday that government workers would receive their year-end bonus and cash gift this early November.In a statement, DBM Secretary Amenah Pangandaman said the year-end bonus and P5,000 cash gift would be released with the first agency payroll of November 2025.The year-end bonus is equivalent to one month of basic pay as of October 31, and the P5,000 cash gift is given annually &quot;to reward the hard work and dedication of government workers nationwide,&quot; DBM said.The agency said it ensured that all funds for the year-end bonus and cash gift had been released at the start of the fiscal year to allow agencies to process and credit the benefits without delay.Employees who have rendered at least 4 months of service from January 1 and are still in government service as of October 31 are entitled to the year-end bonus and cash gift.The DBM said for fiscal year 2025, a total of P63.69 billion has been allocated for the year-end bonus of civilian and military or uniformed personnel.Meanwhile, some P9.24 billion has been earmarked for the cash gift, covering over 1.85 million government workers nationwide.The DBM told all agencies to release the bonuses promptly and in accordance with existing budget circulars. Communications Undersecretary Claire Castro said this shows the Marcos administration&#x27;s appreciation for government workers.&quot;Maagang maipamimigay ng Department of Budget and Management ngayong buwan ang year-end bonus at P5,000 cash gift sa mga kawani ng gobyerno,&quot; she said.&quot;Pagpapakita ito ng Marcos administration sa pagpapahalaga sa mga lingkod bayan,&quot; she added. — With a report from Katrina Domingo, ABS-CBN News
