The top 20 sellers on its LazMall Philippines platform also saw 110 percent sales growth year-on-year, thereby outperforming other markets in Southeast Asia.Barrera expects sales to soar even higher this month.&quot;(11.11) is the biggest campaign of the year, particularly in the Philippines. So a lot of our sellers get 30 or 40 percent of the sales for the year, just between November and December,&quot; he said.But even on a normal day, Filipinos spend more than their regional counterparts on LazMall, the executive said. &quot;So it is quite high for LazMall to begin with. The average LazMall buyer spends significantly more than [on] any other platform because they trust that the items are authentic,&quot; he said.&quot;If you look at our baskets, even based on the external reports, you always see that Lazada is the platform with the highest average basket, and particularly for these orders during campaigns, we see that the average basket is significantly higher than P1,000, especially for LazMall.&quot;Alvin Ching, head of seller operations at Lazada Philippines, said customers usually take advantage of the 11.11 sale to restock their pantries and splurge on rather pricey items.&quot;They time purchases at the time when they think they can get, like, really, really good value,&quot; he said. &quot;We have our grocery items. We have a lot of everyday essentials readily available on the platform, and I&#x27;m sure that a lot of the buyers have already added items to cart, and they&#x27;re just waiting for the right time to check out.&quot;He also said that people splurge on gadgets during sales.&quot;They wait until these mega campaigns to be able to really get the best deal out of that,&quot; Ching noted.For this year&#x27;s 11.11 sale, Lazada is offering Filipinos access to thousands of brands from all over the world, as it stressed that Pinoys now prioritize authentic, premium products over impulse buys, and go for long-term value.&quot;What we see right now is that people really plan their budget around these purchases, and they want to get value for money. They buy good, branded items, they buy quality items,&quot; Barrera said.&quot;Oftentimes, they buy more quantity, but less frequently, because they really want to buy a lot of the good branded goods.&quot;Among the new brands available on Lazada this 11.11 are Rock for mobile and tablet accessories, Mimani for luggage and travel gear, and Emonster Armoa for home decor.
