Vince Dizon said the DOTr now plans to terminate the contract of private builder BF Corp — a firm founded by the late Marikina Mayor Bayani Fernando.</p><p>“Our legal team and our common station team have already reached out, I think the past few days, after Monday nag-inspect ako, and then inaayos na natin ang mga requirements para sa legal termination of the contract with finality,” Dizon told journalists.</p><p>“And kasabay noon, pinag-aaralan na rin ang way forward under the rules and regulations of the Government Procurement Act,” he added.</p><p>In February 2019, the DOTr said the common station would open in 2022. Pero ang daming mga perwisyo sa ating mga motorista kasi nakaharang yung construction eh. Andami pa ring harang sa North Avenue, sa harap ng SM North, na nakatengga lang. Ilang buwan na yan,” he said.</p><p>Dizon said the stalled construction is already a burden for motorists and pedestrians alike.</p><p>&quot;So tingin ko, kailangan talaga dito, tutuldukan na natin ‘to. Dedesisyunan na natin. And magmo-move forward na tayo para matapos.”</p><p>“Ang goal natin matapos yung common station at yung interconnection ng LRT-1 and MRT-3 and MRT-7 sa loob ng termino ng ating pangulo,” he added.</p><p>ABS-CBN News has reached out to BF Corp for a comment but the company has yet to respond as of this posting.</p>
