MANILA -- The LT Group Inc. said it posted a net income of P7.24 billion in the first quarter of 2025, up 13 percent from figures seen in the same period last year.

In a statement, LT Group said its Philippine National Bank (PNB) saw net profit reach P6.09 billion, up 15 percent from the P5.31 billion in the first quarter of 2024.

This growth came from higher yields and more volumes in trading and investment securities, the compamny said.

Fortune Tobacco Corporation, meanwhile, saw its net income climb 6 percent to P2.81 billion. Meanwhile, Tanduay Distillers said net income more than doubled to P528 million from P255 million because of more sales and higher selling prices of liquor.
